Forget the fact that the Shadow Warrior has a multitude of abilities that don't work they are still able to (like any other RDPS) dominate the RvR and Scenario's at top levels.
Yesterday I had a jaunt through Nordenwatch, Howling Gorge, and Gates of Ekrund.
While Nordenwatch is not the most RDPS friendly scenario of the three I was still successful at destroying my Destroy opponents and ending the Scenario with 0 deaths and 15 deathblows, This was mainly due to the fact that all of the foes MDPS were happy enough to stand there and let me pelt them with arrows. I discovered, and would like your input) that the ability Spiral Fletched Arrows is far better than Eagle Eye. If you spam Spiral Fletched you will kill them faster than Eagle Eye. Therefore, I have been made to reconsider my previous (mental) declaration of speccing in Scout not skirmisher.
After that I got to Gates of Ekrund and was reassured of my stoic devotion to Scout stance. With the range extension of 10 feet I could hit my opponent’s healers and RDPS (and somewhat cowardly MDPS) on the other side of the broken upper level without them being able to hurt me at all. Again ranking somewhere around 15 or so Deathblows I spent about 5 min (until my next scenario pop) laughing at the poor Goblin Shaman who just kept running back into range :P
Howling Gorge was also a great experience for me as it allowed me to see just how much of an assassin a Skirmishing Shadow Warrior actually is. When one of the enemy Choppas got the Powder keg I hit him with my KD and then pepped him with arrows and both my DOTs. Once he got back up I was able to hit him with my arrows and just watched as he ran away until dead.
The one thing that I learned (truly) from this experience was that no matter what class you are, even if you are considered to be really underpowered *cough*SW and Engi*cough* once you reach a high level in a tier and equip yourself in optimal gear you will be (if you are playing correctly) successful.
For all you people who hit level 7 and just can't play any longer, Hold Out, the End is near, soon you will be able to do something for the good of whatever you are trying to do good (or bad) for.
Good Luck in your WAR

Shadow Warrior's retreating into the shadows
For about a two or three hours yesterday I ran around on my Shadow Warrior writing down a list of all the things that did not work for me or should have done something that it did not. I then wrote down a list of some things that I thought mythic could do for Shadow Warriors in order to make Shadow Warriors better.
Takedown, our long range slowdown does not apply a slowdown effect to whoever we target. However, the attack does work becuase if you are venegful it does knock down your target like it says it should.
A general knockback issue, If you knock back an opponent all the way off a cliff, even if it would kill you if you jumped off by yourself the knockedback person does not take any damage at all. This means that you can not kill an attaking person by taking advantage of the area that they are standing. If this was different perhaps It would make the Shadow Warrior a more viable class.
So far, besides the lack of damage that many of our attacks do, there are not many things that they can do to be better dps then BW and Sorc's.
Personally, I have three suggestions for things that, Without making the Shadow Warrior do more damage could make them a more viable class.
1: Give them a shorter but less able to be detected in stealth mode
2: increase their move speed by 10%
3: Allow them to crouch in order to take advantage of being out of LOS and make it so that they dont have a large red floating name over their head.
These are some things that I could suggest to make the SW are more viable option for a RDPS class

Knight of the Blazing Sun Destruction
On the weekend I was catching the end of Highpass Cemetery weekend warfront on one of my Order alts Vladaelius. As per usual everyone on Order went one way and I went the other. A Black Orc on Destruction had the same idea as I did and we had an interesting one on one tank duel. He was a level 18 and I was lvl 12 at the time. I excepted to do about half of his health worth of damage before he ground me to pieces however, when I realized that this guy was not a particularly experienced player I stood so that my back was to the wall and we had a monotonous and everlasting (almost) duel of "who can block more". I ended up with a win with about 1/2 of my health left over and after the duel stood there for about ten seconds wondering how I pulled that off.
My conclusion was the following:
1: The KOBTS aura of you-hit-me-i-hurt-you "On your Guard" is horribly useful in a duel. Every time he hit me I did about 64 damage to him and due to that fact that we were both tanks that was the amount of damage he was doing to me.
2: The Black Orc needs a absorb shield that either is Pop on Command or is a buff like Phantoms Blade for the SM. It is unfair that they have to go to 9 in path of the boss to get a 5 sec shield for around 500 health where the SM can get a buff shield for 10 sec and that 5 sec one.
3: Shield rush is a very useful ability and should be used by any budding KOBTS with a sword and shield.

My first Blog.
Well, this is interesting. In a fit of durned madness I have decided to create a WAR online blog of my own. After about a year of playing I find myself fully and completely addicted to WAR and to Destruction and have therefore decided to prove myself in the world of Bloggers. While I can be commonly go found on my Black Guard Scyrner I can often be found meandering across Gorfang or Iron rock on one of my many alts. I hope readers enjoy my blog and will send me comments and other informations so that I can become the best blogger I can be.

About Me
- Scyrner Meyleranor
- After much deliberation I decided to play a Black Guard in WAR and on my light and fluffy (Order) side I am the Commodore of the guild Flagship on Iron Rock. I spend far too much time on my alts and am therefore not progressing at a speed comparative to most WAR addicts. I have journeyed into the damned world of WoW for about a year before fleeing in an attempt to retain a small amount of sanity. See you in WAR :)
